New calls for Bailey to resign
SUMMARY: Capitol police chased down and arrested a group of teens who were charged with armed carjacking. In a separate incident, there are calls for Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey to give up his badge following his former deputies' brutal assault on two black men. The families and friends of the victims, along with the Rankin County NAACP president and other organizations, are demanding Sheriff Bailey's dismissal due to poor supervision of his department. Six law enforcement officers are awaiting sentencing, and if Sheriff Bailey refuses to resign, the NAACP will call on the department for further action.
