Mississippi State eventually scored a field goal, making it a 10-7 game. In an electrifying play, Zavion Thomas returned a punt for a touchdown, bringing Mississippi State within five points at halftime. However, Georgia dominated the second half, outscoring Mississippi State 28-7 and winning 45-19 to secure the SEC East title.

Mississippi State made it game against No.1 UGA for a half. MSU was outscored by Georgia 28-7 in the second half as the Bulldogs fall 45-19. UGA clinched the SEC East with the win while MSU falls to 6-4. Mississippi State will host East Tennessee State next week.
