MRA opens 2023 season with a big win over Parklane

SUMMARY: The 2023 football season has started with MRA and Parklane playing in Week Zero. MRA’s head coach Herbert Davis is currently recovering from a hospital visit, so interim coach Danny White is leading the team. Parklane makes the first blow with an interception and a touchdown pass. MRA’s running back Charles Simpson responds with a 60-plus yard touchdown run, tying the game at 6. MRA’s Gunnar Swanson then intercepts a pass and returns it for a touchdown, giving the Patriots a 13-6 lead. MRA extends their lead to 20-6 with another touchdown.

The MRA Patriots opened the 2023 football season for all metro area football teams with a 48-25 victory over Parklane Academy in Week 0 of the MAIS season.
