SUMMARY: The long-awaited Veterans Home in Tradition, Mississippi, is set to open in February after delays since its 2019 groundbreaking. This $60 million facility, double the size of existing homes, will serve South Mississippi veterans. Designed to feel welcoming, it features areas called streets, neighborhoods, and a Town Center, offering amenities like a chapel, bank, and beauty shop. Accessibility is a priority, with adjustable facilities for wheelchair users, rolling showers, and private kitchens. Funded 65% by the federal VA, the 133,000-square-foot home will accommodate 100 veterans and potentially create up to 150 jobs upon opening.

In just a few months, the long-awaited Veterans Home in Tradition is expected to open its doors.
