Mississippi SNAP recipients encouraged to protect accounts, PINs
SUMMARY: Officials from the Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS) are warning SNAP beneficiaries about phishing scams targeting Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card details. Criminals are using text messages to obtain card numbers and PINs for fraudulent claims. The MDHS advises customers to keep sensitive information private, avoid sharing their PIN with anyone outside the household, and regularly monitor their EBT accounts for unauthorized charges. If a card is compromised, users should immediately report it to the EBT service center and consider filing a police report. The MDHS will not request PINs or card numbers via phone or text.

Suspect in Charlie Kirk assassination believed to have acted alone, says Utah governor
