Mississippi man charged in three 1977 homicides in California
SUMMARY: Warren Luther Alexander, a 73-year-old man from Diamondhead, Mississippi, has been arrested for three murders in California from 1977. The Ventura County Cold Case unit charged him with first-degree murder after he was extradited from North Carolina, where he was awaiting trial for a separate homicide. Alexander made his initial court appearance on August 7, 2024, which was continued to August 21. He is currently held without bond at the Ventura County Jail. The cold case investigation has successfully identified him as a suspect in this 45-year-old series of strangulations.
