SUMMARY: The Mississippi House and Senate plan to take Friday off due to an impending winter storm forecasted to impact northern counties. Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann announced on Tuesday the intention to adjourn early Thursday to allow senators to return home ahead of the severe weather. Hosemann emphasized the need for prompt work to help legislators navigate safely before roads freeze. House Speaker Jason White echoed this plan, humorously noting the rare alignment with the Senate.
