Trombone Shorty to receive Grammy Museum’s Crossroads of American Music Award

Mississippi State fined $500K after storming field in celebration of win over Arizona State

Sam’s Town casino in Tunica to close permanently in November
SUMMARY: Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall in Tunica will permanently close on November 9 at 10 p.m., Boyd Gaming announced. The closure follows a decline in gaming customers and careful business considerations. No new casino will replace Sam’s Town, nor will its gaming license relocate elsewhere in Mississippi. Hotel reservations will be accepted until November 2. Offers and comps remain valid until closing but aren’t transferable to other Boyd properties. Boyd Rewards points can be redeemed at Sam’s Town until closing, then at other Boyd locations for six months or more. Members retain reward status and benefits. Outstanding balances must be settled before closing.
