Meridian City Council discuss grant options for skate park project

SUMMARY: The Meridian City Council discussed various topics during a work session, including an update on the skate park project. Some of the grants include land and water conservation grants, recreational trail grants, and a Tony Hawk Skateboard Project grant. The city is also looking to obtain a Healthy Mississippi grant and plans to work with the East Mississippi Planning Development organization to get access to more grants. The skate park is expected to cost over $775,000 and is projected to be located at Ben Arthur.
