Memorial closes walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics
Due to increased demand in COVID-19 testing, Memorial Hospital at Gulfport will be closing its walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics as of 5 p.m. today.
The clinics, located in Biloxi at 189 C Wal Mart Lane, and in Bay St. Louis at 179 Drinkwater Road, will be closed until further notice.

Prosecutor says stalking suspect ambushed Pennsylvania police officers, killing 3
SUMMARY: In North Codorus, Pennsylvania, suspected stalker Matthew James Ruth ambushed police officers at his ex-girlfriend’s home, killing three detectives and seriously wounding two others before being shot dead. Ruth, armed with an AR-style rifle, hid inside the house after being spotted on a trail camera surveilling the property. The ex-girlfriend and her mother had fled after calling police. Officers found the door unlocked and were fired upon immediately. Ruth had planned the ambush and had previously killed the family dog. The slain officers were veterans with decades of service. The community mourned the tragedy, with calls for better societal support to prevent gun violence.

Man dies after riding roller coaster at new Florida amusement park Epic Universe
SUMMARY: A man in his 30s died after riding the Stardust Racers roller coaster at Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe park on April 10, 2025. He was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at a hospital. The park, which opened in May 2025, features five themed sections and a hotel.
