Medical marijuana dispensary owner arrested in Lee County

SUMMARY: The owner of a medical cannabis dispensary in Mississippi has been arrested for allegedly selling narcotics illegally. The Saltillo Police Department recovered two pounds of marijuana, 2.5 pounds of THC gummies, four handguns, and over $2,000 in cash from the owner, Mark Anthony Cash. Officials believe the narcotics were being shipped in from out of state, violating the state’s medical cannabis laws. This is the first arrest made in Lee County since the medical cannabis law was passed. Law enforcement sees this arrest as a warning to other dispensaries operating in an unlawful manner, stating that violations will not go unnoticed.
