The city missed audits for fiscal years 2021-2024, though audits were completed for 2019 and 2020 after Mayor Lockley took office in 2018. Two CPA firms tried to resolve the issue, but progress is hindered by unkept records, despite over $80,000 spent. The state will engage auditors to complete audits, and cooperation is expected amid McComb’s uncertain financial status.
