Man found guilty of 2018 homicide in Jackson
SUMMARY: A man was found guilty of first degree murder in connection to a 2018 homicide in Jackson, Mississippi. T’Quarius Jones shot and killed Justin Harper at a home on Cameron Street. Pricilla Reed, who was restraining Jones at the scene, informed officers that she was his mother and that he had shot Harper. Police found Harper had been shot multiple times and recovered an assault rifle at the scene. The investigation revealed that the shooting happened after an argument over food, and an autopsy showed Harper was shot 17 times. Jones was sentenced to life in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).
