Man faces charges after Columbus homeowner reports burglary
SUMMARY: A 33-year-old man from Columbus, Trevor Dodd, has been charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling after a homeowner caught him stealing items from her home. The woman woke up to the sound of a strange man in her kitchen, who had apparently kicked in the door. When confronted, the man told her his name and left. Deputies arrested Dodd nearby and found stolen items in his possession, including a bottle of vodka, a vape pen, and one ounce of THC. Dodd is currently being held at the Lowndes County Jail.
