Man allegedly held, assaulted victim for 2 days in Southaven

SUMMARY: A man was taken into custody by the Southaven Police Department and charged with tying up and assaulting a victim. The incident took place at a home in Southaven, Mississippi. The victim suffered multiple injuries and was able to escape when the suspect passed out due to drugs and alcohol. The suspect had a history of violent offenses in other states. He was taken into custody by the SWAT team. This is the second incident within a year that the SWAT team has been called to the neighborhood, leaving residents concerned about their safety. The relationship between the suspect and the victim is unknown.
