SUMMARY: Mississippi’s state tournament is ongoing, and Quarterfinal action saw Central Hinds girls facing Jackson Prep. The game went into three overtime periods before Central Hinds emerged victorious, with Jada Houston contributing nine points and nine rebounds. In the boys’ tournament, Jackson Prep faced West Memphis Christian, with Prep ultimately winning and advancing to the Final Four. In another game, MRA defeated Marvell Academy, with Any Toler scoring 19 points. They will face PCS in the semifinals. Overall, the tournament has been filled with close games and impressive performances as teams vie for a spot in the finals.

In Day 3 of the MAIS Overall Tournament at Mississippi College are a number of local MAIS squads punched their ticket to next week’s semifinals.
