Mississippi stores affected by Blue Bell ice cream recall over packaging mishap
SUMMARY: Blue Bell is recalling limited batches of its Moo-llenium Crunch ice cream due to a packaging error at its Brenham, Texas plant. Some half-gallon cartons of Moo-llenium Crunch were mistakenly labeled in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough containers with Moo-llenium Crunch lids. Since Moo-llenium Crunch contains almonds, walnuts, and pecans, the recall warns customers with nut allergies of potential serious reactions. The mislabeled cartons can be identified by a specific code on the lid. Retailers across multiple states, including Mississippi, Alabama, and Texas, are affected. Consumers are advised to return the product for a full refund. No illnesses have been reported.

Definitive agreement signed to sell Starkville hospital to Baptist Memorial
SUMMARY: Starkville’s only hospital, Oktibbeha County Regional Hospital (OCH), is closer to being sold to Baptist Memorial Health Care for $55 million after the Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors signed a definitive asset purchase agreement. Baptist plans to invest over $86 million in hospital facilities, technology, and physician recruitment, offering current OCH employees jobs under the new ownership. The deal, expected to finalize next month, follows extensive negotiations involving community leaders and institutions like Mississippi State University. The sale ends county control since 1973, addressing concerns about patient outflow and revenue loss. Baptist owns 12 Mississippi hospitals, including highly recognized facilities.
