Louisiana man sentenced to 15 years for DUI crash on Natchez Trace

SUMMARY: A Louisiana man, Ne’Tron Lambert, has pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated driving under the influence after causing a wreck on the Natchez Trace Parkway that left four people injured. Lambert was sentenced to 15 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. The accident occurred when Lambert, who was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana, was driving in the wrong lane and collided head-on with another vehicle. Accident reconstruction reports showed that Lambert was traveling at 89 miles per hour at the time of the crash. Fortunately, no one died in the accident, but all five individuals involved suffered significant injuries.

Batesville woman arrested for making bombs tried to escape from jail, sheriff says

SUMMARY: Christina Willis, 27, of Batesville, accused of making homemade explosives and attempting to kill with one, faces new charges for allegedly conspiring to escape Lafayette County jail with Mark Montgomery, 48. Mississippi governor deploying national guard troops to Washington, D.C.
