Local businesses are serving up hot meals to warming shelters
SUMMARY: Warming shelters were set up in Starkville, Mississippi to provide the homeless with a place to escape the freezing temperatures. Starkville Strong and local businesses provided donations, hot meals, and snacks to the shelter. Josh Herrington of Starkville Strong emphasized the community effort in caring for the less fortunate. Oktibbeha EMA is currently running the warming shelter through Monday. The community’s support and rallying around those in need has been heartwarming and has made a positive impact.
