LIVE: Big changes coming to Biloxi Shuckers ballpark ahead of 2024 season

7/1 Sam’s “Warm and Humid” Tuesday Evening Forecast
SUMMARY: A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 5:30 p.m. for Gulfport and Biloxi, with strong winds over 60 mph and small hail possible. Heavy rain and frequent lightning are impacting the region, with storms stretching along I-10 from the Mississippi-Louisiana border toward Alabama. Tornado risk remains very low, but marine warnings apply offshore due to possible waterspouts and 50 mph wind gusts. Temperatures have dropped to the 70s near the coast but remain in the upper 80s to low 90s inland. Rain chances will continue overnight and through Tuesday, then decrease by Thursday as a cold front passes. Temperatures are expected to rise to mid-90s by Independence Day, with rain chances low Friday through Saturday before increasing again early next week.

Amtrak announces starting date for new Mardi Gras Service
SUMMARY: Amtrak announced the new Mardi Gras Service along the Gulf Coast will start August 18th, marking the return of passenger trains after more than 20 years. The route includes stops in Bay St. Louis, Gulfport, Biloxi, Pascagoula, New Orleans, and Mobile, with morning and evening departures.
