Gautier voters prepare for mayoral race
SUMMARY: Voters in Gautier will choose between incumbent Mayor Casey Vaughn and former Mayor Phil Toresen in the upcoming mayoral race. Vaughn aims to continue growth with projects like the town center development, revamped Beo Park, and Legacy Park, a multi-use building with a cardiac center. He emphasizes strengthening infrastructure, public safety, and mixed-use development. Toresen seeks to return, focusing on improving economic development, which he feels Gautier lacks compared to neighboring cities. He highlights past contributions like the amphitheater and public-private partnerships. Both candidates agree the voters will decide the city’s future direction over the next four years.

Gautier voters will choose between two familiar names and faces come Election Day.
