JXN Water crews work to fix leaks across city
SUMMARY: JXN Water officials in Jackson, Mississippi provided an update on recent water challenges following a cold snap. They are encouraging customers to fix leaks and lower their water use to improve water system pressure. The system still has 9.5 million gallons over normal demand, with 18 additional leak reports since Friday. 1003 leaks have been reported in total. 1000 customers in south and west Jackson are without water, and 12,000 are under a boil water notice. Crews are working to make repairs, and customers are asked to report leaks, find leaks on their property, and cut back on water use. Officials are trying to limit call center volume for leak reports.
