Reed was the most accomplished women’s basketball coach in Jackson State history, producing WNBA draft selections and leading her team to the NCAA tournament three times. This move is seen as a big loss for both the community and the school. Jackson State is now on the lookout for a replacement coach to fill Reed’s big shoes. Athletic director Ashley Robinson thanked Reed for her unmatched work at Jackson State and wished her the best in Charlotte.
