SUMMARY: A West Jackson resident, Calandra Davis, alleged that Ted Henifin, the Interim Manager for JXN Water, threatened to keep her water shut off due to a billing dispute. At a city council meeting, she recounted how her water was cut off on August 12, after her family had been trying to establish an account. While attempting to resolve the issue, security reportedly pointed a gun at her husband, and Henifin indicated that the water service could be delayed indefinitely. Jackson Mayor Chokwe A. Lumumba condemned any threats of violence towards residents amid the ongoing water crisis. JXN Water has not commented on the situation.
