Jackson hospital patient accused of killing another patient
SUMMARY: A patient at Merit Health Central in Jackson, MS attacked and killed another patient at the hospital. This incident occurred on March 5 just before 10:00 p.m. The male patient attacked a female patient on the sixth floor where they were both being treated. The male patient was experiencing a psychiatric episode at the time. The victim, identified as Wendy Gilbreath, was pronounced dead at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. The suspect has been arrested and will be charged with murder. It is reported that the suspect and victim did not know each other prior to the incident.
