Jackson County Sheriff’s Department searching for alleged murder suspect
SUMMARY: A manhunt is ongoing for 30-year-old Aaron Blake Haylock, who is wanted for the alleged murder of his stepfather, 60-year-old Douglas Arguelles. Arguelles was found with severe injuries in his home in Vancleave and later died at a hospital. Haylock, believed to have left the residence in his stepfather’s truck, is considered armed and dangerous. The police are advising anyone who sees Haylock or knows of his whereabouts to contact them immediately.

SUMMARY: A fatal shooting occurred in Gulfport on April 28, 2025, when suspects Paul Ravin Martin Jr. and Kevin Eugene James opened fire on individuals in the Holly Circle area. Three victims were injured, and 16-year-old Cobi Earnest later died from gunshot wounds. Martin, 23, was arrested and charged with First-Degree Murder, Shooting into a Dwelling, and three counts of Aggravated Assault. He was out on bond for a previous drive-by shooting.
