About two hundred runners and walkers participated in a first-ever fundraising event held in Hattiesburg this morning. The event was organized to raise funds for Dembe Ministries, an organization that provides shelter, job training, and educational scholarships for orphans and widows in Jinja, Uganda. The race also honored Rodney Richardson, the co-founder of Dembe Ministries, who passed away from cancer last year.
