McDaniel stresses the importance of regular maintenance, such as cleaning coils and outdoor units, and advises homeowners to set their thermostats to 72-74°F for optimal performance during the summer.

Thousands of South Mississippians are turning to the air conditioning for some relief from those steamy temperatures.
