HSFT Stop #31: Shannon
SUMMARY: Former Shannon Red Raider quarterback and now head coach Ken Topps is optimistic about the football team’s growth, noting improved chemistry and a commitment to standards. He sees senior Trey Spurgon as a key player, excelling as both a cornerback and quarterback. The team aims to strengthen its defense, which was previously a weakness. Senior Jeremiah Gardner encourages newer players to embrace the challenge, while junior safety Chayce Richardson credits the coaching staff for building confidence. The Red Raiders, coming off a playoff exit, are poised to begin the season at home against Aberdeen with renewed confidence.
