Each child had $350 to spend at Walmart with an officer to select gifts for themselves and their family members. This event, called Shop with a Cop, helps to build stronger bonds between the officers and the kids. It also gives children a chance to interact with police officers in a positive light. The event ended with lunch at the police headquarters, courtesy of Chick-fil-A.
