At least three people in Georgia required hospitalization after stings last year. Unlike the non-dangerous Joro spider recently spreading through the Southeast, the Asian needle ant poses a serious health risk. Experts warn residents to remain vigilant to prevent these ants from nesting and spreading further across the U.S.
