Ole Miss linebacker Suntarine Perkins named to Bronko Nagurski Trophy watch list

SUMMARY: Ole Miss linebacker Suntarine Perkins has earned multiple preseason honors ahead of the 2025 college football season. Named to the preseason All-SEC second team, Perkins is also on the watch list for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, awarded annually to the nation’s top defensive player. In 2024, Perkins recorded 10.5 sacks—tied for No. 10 in the FBS and second in Ole Miss history—and contributed to team records in sacks and tackles for loss.
