Fox 14 Your Morning News: New Orleans City Council makes new vote on abortion drugs
SUMMARY: Morning News with Hannah Clark and Abby Price highlights the New Orleans City Council’s recent decision to address the implications of two abortion-inducing drugs, mifepristone and misoprostol. The council voted on Thursday to instruct the City Health Department to investigate whether women in need of these drugs for non-abortion-related medical reasons can still access them. With the state set to impose restrictions starting October 1st, council members align with critics, expressing concerns that limiting access to these medications could jeopardize the health of women requiring them for treatment of miscarriages and other medical conditions.
