Four suspects charged with armed robbery in Jackson County
Four suspects, including a 16-year-old, are in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center, charged with armed robbery.
Around 9:30 Monday night, August 22nd, deputies responded to a shots fired call in the parking lot of the Motel 6 near Ocean Springs exit 50.
Sheriff Mike Ezell says several people reported they were robbed at gunpoint and the suspects drove off. A little while later, Ocean Springs police found with all four suspects inside.

Almost 3,500 Mississippi Veterans have enrolled in VA health care in past 365 days, 28% increase over last year
SUMMARY: The Department of Veterans Affairs has enrolled a record number of Veterans in VA health care in Mississippi and nationally. This historic enrollment is the result of aggressive outreach efforts, including events, advertising campaigns, and text messages to encourage Veterans to enroll. VA's goal is to ensure that all eligible Veterans receive the best and most affordable care available. VA has also expanded health care eligibility for Veterans exposed to toxins and hazards while serving in the military, allowing more Veterans to enroll directly in VA health care. The VA is continuing to reach out to Veterans to encourage them to apply for their health care and benefits.
