Former Mississippi basketball coach sentenced for child exploitation

SUMMARY: Former high school assistant basketball coach, Kenny Paul Geno, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for online enticement of a minor. He used a minor to make child sexual abuse materials and solicited sexually explicit images from female students at the high school. The FBI began investigating in October 2022 after receiving a complaint about inappropriate Snapchat communications. Several videos of child sexual abuse material involving minor victims were found on Geno’s cell phone. Chief U.S. District Judge Debra M. Brown ordered Geno to serve 120 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release and to register as a sex offender.
