Former Miss Mississippi Holly Brand hit all the right notes on Monday's episode of The Voice.

The 22-year-old Meridian native performed “Bring On the Rain” after bringing her coach, Kelly Clarkson, to tears with the song during rehearsals. Brand's performance of the Jo Dee Messina classic on the big stage was good enough to send her and teammate D. Smooth to the Live Performance rounds along with just six other contestants.

“With Holly, she's very exciting for me because she's got like this whole twist,” Clarkson said. “She can do whistle notes. She can do R&B kind of pop runs….
