Former Lee Co. teacher sentenced, also indicted in Laud. Co.

SUMMARY: Luke Mason, a former teacher and coach in Tupelo, has been sentenced to five years in prison for sexually enticing a student. He must also register as a sex offender after his release. Mason, 30, was arrested in March 2021, with evidence indicating he exploited his authority to attract a student and distribute pornographic images to another. Additionally, he faces similar charges of sexual battery and lustful touching in Lauderdale County. These incidents occurred while he served as a girls’ soccer coach at Morville Schools, with an indictment handed down in October 2021.

News 11 has has learned that Mason was also indicted in Lauderdale County in October of 2021 on charges of sexual battery and lustful touching.
