Feed the Needy is gearing up to deliver 1,500 meals on Thanksgiving Day — and they could use your .

enforcement agencies in are spearheading the effort — taking donations and signing up people to the meals that are boxed up and delivered Thanksgiving morning.

Last year, the group sent out more than 1,000 meals. This year, they topped that mark by almost 500.

But that also means they need some help getting those meals to those who might otherwise go hungry on Thanksgiving.

Scammers send texts and emails with links to locate a missed or delayed delivery, which could to malware, fraud, and identity . The tips to spot and avoid fraudulent notifications include requests for money, personal and financial information, misspelled website addresses, spelling and grammatical errors, and lack of online security protocols. Consumers are advised to go to the delivery carrier's website directly or use the retailer's tracking tools to verify the sender's identity. The U.S. Postal Service, FedEx, and UPS have also warned against these scams. To fraud, scams, or deceptive business practices, contact the Attorney General's Office.

PRCC honors 43 graduates from the Practical Nursing program

SUMMARY: Pearl Community College held a pinning ceremony for 43 Practical Nursing graduates from their night and programs. from three different campuses were recognized, and each student wrote a dedication card expressing gratitude to their supporters. The ceremony included words of encouragement from the Dean, Dr. David Collum, and the graduates received a pin from their instructors. A list of the graduates was provided based on the campus they attended. The LPN program is available for both full-time and part-time students and prospective students must meet all admission requirements before completing the Practical Nursing application, with the deadline to apply being March 1st.
