Family owned restaurant receives support on last day of business
SUMMARY: La Fiesta Brava, a family-owned Mexican restaurant in West Point, closed on September 1 after nearly 30 years of service. The community’s overwhelming support was unexpected for owner Jose Arellano, who received numerous messages and phone calls following the announcement. Local citizens initiated fundraisers to assist the restaurant’s future. Longtime patrons expressed deep appreciation, sharing memories of celebrations and regular visits over the years. Customers highlighted the restaurant’s strong community ties and friendly atmosphere, emphasizing that they will miss both the food and the people. Arellano hopes to reopen La Fiesta Brava soon.
