The outbreak spans 15 states with 26 reported illnesses and nine hospitalizations. Bedner Growers recalled cucumbers sold at its Florida locations from April 29 to May 14. Walmart voluntarily recalled fresh-cut cucumber slices sold in Texas. Additionally, various fresh-cut cucumber items and sushi containing cucumbers sold under SNOWFRUIT and SNOWFOX labels have been recalled in 16 states. Consumers are urged to discard recalled products and sanitize surfaces. No illnesses have been reported from these recalled packaged items. Salmonella causes gastrointestinal illness and can be severe in vulnerable populations.
