Drug lab uncovered after suspicious fire in St. Louis County; Homeowner charged

SUMMARY: Charges have been filed against 40-year-old Andrew Montgomery after a house fire revealed illegal weapons and explosives in his home on Lake Constance. Investigators with the bomb and arson unit discovered suspicious chemicals and an improvised explosive device (IED) while firefighters extinguished the blaze. Montgomery confessed to possessing the IED, as well as firearms and other components. He is now facing charges for unlawful possession and manufacture of an illegal weapon.

Authorities discovered a drug lab inside a home Friday while investigating a suspicious fire in St. Louis County. The homeowner is now charged and behind bars.

Former Greene County deputy arrested for stalking
