At Wesley House, they packed food items including rice, beans, mixed vegetables, ramen noodles, and canned fruit for those in need. The participants worked in teams to streamline the packing process, embracing the opportunity to serve a community outside their hometowns. Tomorrow, the Sapphire group will continue community service at the Children’s Museum. Additionally, Mitchell Distributing and Community Bank donated nearly $30,000 to the Jimmy Rogers Foundation.

How to make a homemade strawberry milkshake
SUMMARY: Registered dietitian Rebecca Turner from the Dairy Alliance demonstrated how to make a simple homemade strawberry milkshake using strawberry ice cream and milk. The Dairy Alliance, a nonprofit supporting Mississippi’s 48 dairy farms, promotes dairy as part of a healthy diet providing calcium, vitamin D, and protein. Turner highlighted lactose-free ice cream and milk options made from real cow’s milk but with lactose removed for those sensitive to it. After blending 3-4 scoops of strawberry cheesecake lactose-free ice cream with milk, the shake is topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. Fresh milk typically reaches stores within 48 hours from farms.
