Deputies reportedly find drugs, gun, baby in West Point man’s car
SUMMARY: A West Point man, Jirtavius Cox, was arrested on significant drug charges after Clay County deputies found over 200 grams of fentanyl tablets, a felony amount of marijuana, and a gun in his car during a traffic stop on Highway 45 South. Additionally, an infant was present in the vehicle, leading to a child endangerment charge. Cox, aged 30, faces charges including aggravated trafficking, felony possession of marijuana, and child endangerment due to the proximity of the child to the drugs and firearm.
