CRA ready for revamp of Burns Bottom area

SUMMARY: The Columbus Redevelopment Authority is seeking Request for Proposals to develop a five-block area near the Roger Short Soccer Complex. They have $3 million in state funds and have already purchased 70 properties in the Burns Bottom area over the past several years. The project, dubbed “Parkview”, has been in development since 2015. The city has planned a public meeting on March 20 to showcase development plans and answer questions. The mayor is pleased with the progress, emphasizing the difficulty of acquiring the properties. They are aiming to get to the finish line and are looking forward to the next steps.
