The Covington County School District has teamed up with the Mississippi Department of to put new -saving equipment, Automated External Defibrillators (A-E-D), in local schools. The district has added A-E-D units in all school cafeterias, and they hope to place them in the gymnasiums and on each campus. The portable A-E-D units are used to help people experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, and they can be used during athletic . The goal is to have these A-E-D units become available in every school cafeteria and campus in the district.

K9 finds children who went missing on Thursday
