College football video game returns after 11 years of waiting

SUMMARY: Gamers and college football fans are thrilled as the first college football video game in over a decade launches worldwide tomorrow. The game is making waves on campuses, with MSU fans eagerly anticipating its release. The reintroduction of name, image, and likeness deals allowed for the game’s return, much to the delight of fans who have waited over half their lives. Maroon and white legends like Emanuel Forbes and JT Gray participated in the launch event, which included a 32-person tournament. Tickets cost $10,000 each, with proceeds benefiting the Bulldog Initiative. EA Sports College Football 25 will be available globally tomorrow.

College football video games were canceled over a decade ago, because players could not be compensated for being in the game. But, NIL deals opened the door for the popular game’s return.
