Clinton sign holders claim they were almost hit by car

SUMMARY: Democratic supporters in Clinton were targeted with what appeared to be a hit and run as they were holding party signs outside Northside Baptist Church. They reported the incident to the police, who took over two hours to respond. They said they were almost hit by a car and believe they were targeted because of their signs. Clinton police have pledged to patrol the area after the incident. The sign holders are urging people to stay away from the street and described the event as being dangerous and frightening, stating that they were just campaigning and trying to encourage people to vote.
