Clinton Schools Begins Monday

SUMMARY: Clinton Public School students in Mississippi will be returning to class earlier than usual this year, with school resuming on Monday. The modified schedule will allow for eight weeks of summer vacation, while still following the attendance law of 190 days. Students will attend nine weeks of classes, followed by a two-week break. The new principal acknowledges that the adjustment may be challenging, but believes that the intermittent breaks will allow for reflection, relaxation, and regrouping before starting again. The new schedule has received positive feedback and no one has expressed a desire to return to the regular schedule starting in mid to late August.
