Clay County capital murder suspect wants a trial
SUMMARY: An Aine man charged with capital murder, Lebrandon Tumblin, has chosen to go to trial rather than take a plea deal. He is accused of murdering Denisha Dar and Denasia Mcgregory, then placing Dar’s body in the trunk of a car and driving it to Tupelo where he was captured. Tumblin, already serving a life sentence for armed robbery in Chickasaw County, appeared in court for his initial hearing last year. Despite prosecutors’ evidence against him, Tumblin has opted to stand trial for the capital murder charges he is facing. The judge has set a trial date for the case.
