SUMMARY: The Children’s Foundation of Mississippi has enhanced its Kids to College (KTC) program by offering new financial incentives to encourage families to save for post-secondary education. In partnership with Entergy Mississippi, eligible families who open a KTC account for children under 16 years of age will receive an initial $50 contribution from the power company, along with up to $365 in matching funds for the year. Studies suggest that children with savings accounts are four times more likely to attain higher education. To benefit from the program, account holders need to be Entergy customers and meet specific income criteria. More details can be found on their website.
